With more than 25 years of experience in language teaching and translation, Barbara Jejčič brings together a passion for languages, communication, culture and people.
Throughout her career, she has worked with children, teenagers and adults in monolingual, bilingual and cross-border environments. Her approach to language teaching goes beyond grammar and vocabulary: she believes that learning a language is also a way of discovering other cultures, building connections and developing mutual understanding.
Her extensive experience in institutional and multicultural environments enables her to design and deliver programmes tailored to different educational and professional needs. For the past six years, she has been particularly involved in teaching Slovenian to migrants, supporting them in using language as an important tool for integration and participation in their new community.
Barbara is also a passionate ambassador of the Karst region. For the past 20 years, she has worked as a tourist guide, sharing the region's rich natural, cultural and historical heritage with visitors. Her guiding experience includes the Walk of Peace in the Karst as well as thematic museums, including the Museum of Nature and Man and the Museum of the Slovenian Language and Books in Štanjel.
Her work combines language, culture, heritage and human connection – creating experiences that are not only informative, but also meaningful and memorable.
